The Mwanza City Mayor, Mr Leonard Bandiko Bihondo, 64, was arraigned at the Resident Magistrate Court along with three others charged with murder of the former CCM secretary for Isamilo ward in the city, Ms Bahati Stephano, 50.
Mr Bihondo and others namely Jumanne Oscar, 30, Batalzar Shushi, 43, and the city mayor’s campaign manager, Abdul Hausi, 45, appeared in court at around 2:30pm yesterday.
State Attorney, Mr Stephen Makwega, alleged before senior resident magistrate, Ms Eugenia Lujwahuka, that the city mayor and others had jointly killed the CCM secretary for the ward at around noon on Friday last week.
