Faulty pontoons irk Sengerema councillors

COUNCILLORS in Sengerema District, Mwanza Region, have asked the government to suspend operations of faulty pontoons on Lake Victoria to prevent accidents as was the case with 'mv Bukoba' some 11 years ago.

They said sea worthiness of Nkome-Nyakalilo and Busisi-Kigongo pontoons was worrisome due to regular engine failures.
