Mwanza. Women in Mwanza have hailed free cervical cancer and cryotherapy screening offered to over 3,000 women, saying it was a timely life-saving initiative.
The four-day free screening was conducted by experts from Population Services International (PSI) as part of activities to mark the international Women’s Day celebrations.
Over 1,200 were screened for cervical and breast cancer at Nyamagana Stadium as over 2,000 others were screened at Buzuruga, Igoma, and Rafiki health centres.
