Mwanza. Four people suspected to be cattle rustlers were killed by a lynch mob at Buhongwa suburb in the city, the police and ward officials confirmed yesterday.
The killings occurred at Nyangomango suburb in Usagara, in Misungwi District. Angered by the theft of animals in the area, wananchi seized Mafisi Mwita, one of the suspects and forced him to lead them to his accomplices who were hiding at Igwambiti Village in Buhongwa, about 18km south of Mwanza City.
