POLICE in Mwanza have arrested a Cameroonian, Gerald Njii (28) for allegedly possessing 74 fake 100 dollar notes.
Mwanza Regional Police Commander (RPC), Simon Sirro, told reporters on Wednesday that the suspect was nabbed at Rehema Guest House, following a special operation against criminals in the city. He was also found with four 10,000/- fake notes.
“We are still investigating his case and once we are through we will send him to court,” he said.
He advised people to be very careful when exchanging paper money to avoid being given fake notes.
