THREE people have drowned in Lake Victoria on Wednesday when a canoe they were travelling in capsized.
The Mwanza Acting Regional Police Commander, Mr Nonosius Komba, told reporters here that the accident occurred at Isakuliko village, Sengerema district after the canoe was hit by strong winds.
He mentioned the deceased as John Saguye, a Misasi resident whose age could not be known, Fikiri Kafura of Kasomeko village whose age could neither be known and one who was identified by a single name as Keja (30).
