TANZANIA Revenue Authority (TRA) has netted 16 traders including four companies for selling goods without issuing receipts using Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFDs) in Mara Region.
The companies are Jambo plastic (Dar es salaam), Arusha Sundries Ltd (Mwanza), Promasidor PTY(T) Ltd (Dar es Salaam) and Gulled Wholesaler Ltd (Mwanza).
''We have arrested a total of 16 traders who are registered with Value added Tax(VAT) for selling goods without issuing receipts and got a revenue of 21m/- from them,'' Mara Regional TRA Acting Manager, Mr Gamaliely William Mafie, told reporters in Musoma on Thursday morning.
