SPORTS NEWS: Boxers set for six-nation tourney

David Munyasia, Commonwealth bronze medalists Black Moses Mathenge and Joshua Ndere are among three top boxers dropped from Kenya’s team for the weekend’s six-nation tournament in Mwanza.

The tournament brings together Rwanda, Burundi, hosts Tanzania, Seychelles, Kenya and Uganda.

Coach George Gichuki explained that the three had been advised to take a break after suffering from malaria after the Military Games in Zanzibar earlier this month.
