Mayor wants Mwanza city maintain cleanliness

THE Mayor of the City of Mwanza, Mr Leonard Bihondo, said although the city has been named the cleanest in the country, some remote suburbs have poor hygienic conditions.

Mr Bihondo, who is also the Chairman of the Association of Local Authorities and member of Commonwealth Local Authorities, said the city should not be complacent with the victory, as a lot still needed to be done.

He expressed concern that some offices in the city centre were filthy and called for immediate steps to improve the situation.
