RC tells city fathers to act on 'short calls'

MWANZA acting Regional Commissioner Samuel Kamote has directed Mwanza City Council authorities to enact and enforce a by-law that will deal with people who urinate in wrong places.

The directive comes after the city was, for the second consecutive year, declared the country's cleanest during this year's Environmental Day celebration held at the national level in Mtwara Region.

"We have to defend the victory," stressed Mr Kamote, minutes after a short text message from the City Director, Mr Wilson Kabwe, was read before the gathering during the celebration held at regional level at Mahatma Gandhi hall here on Tuesday.
