Mwanza villages to get power from national grid

THE government is planning to build a 33-kilowatt power line from Lamadi village in Mwanza Region to Mkula, Malili and Ngasamo villages, the Deputy Minister for Energy and Minerals, Mr William Ngeleja, said here yesterday.

He said Kalemera, Nyamikoma and Nyashimo villages, which are in the vicinity of the Mwanza-Musoma road, would also get power from the same source once the project takes off. He said the Spanish government has shown willingness to finance the project.
