Mwanza cop arrested over admin officer’s assault

POLICE here are holding their fellow law enforcer in connection with a bizarre assault of Kwimba District Administrative Officer (DAO), Azma Swalehe (27).

The incident occurred on Monday last week and Ms Swalehe has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bugando Hospital here since then.

Ms Swalehe who reported for work on her first appointment about three weeks ago was staying at the house of Kwimba District Commissioner Danhi Makanga, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Mr Makanga is staying at a rest house.
