Private sector must pay its workers well

THE switch from public to private sector ownership of major commercial and production means was intended to relieve the government of the burden of doing business to enable it to concentrate on policy and administration.

So far the response and implementation has been good. To date, we have in place a number of reputable multinationals which are managing several institutions of economic importance that were hitherto run by the government.
