Sports NEWS: El-Merreikh jet in for Yanga tie

YOUNG Africans ’ opponents in the Confederations Cup El-Merreikh of Sudan jetted in Dar es Salaam yesterday ready for their first leg tie at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza on Sunday.

The Sudanese flew in aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight with a contingent of 34-people. They include 21 players and 13 officials. El- Merreikh’s coach Otto Pfiffer expressed hope that they will give Yanga a run for their money. “I’m well versed with African football and I don’t think that our tie with Yanga would make any difference from the ones I’ve encountered before,” the Germany coach remarked.
