SPORTS NEWS: El Merreikh bank on Sudan’s hostile weather

EL MERREIKH coach Otto Pfister has said he is not losing sleep thinking about their Confederation Cup match against Yanga in Mwanza since he is sure of winning the second leg thanks to scotching weather in Khartoum.

Yanga host the Sudanese at the CCM Kirumba Stadium on Sunday, where they need to win by a good goal margin if they are to reach the Confederation Cup group stages.

“I have a good team, which is a mixture of young and experienced players,” boasted the German tactician. “In Mwanza anyone can win but the return leg in Sudan will be decisive, we are very strong at home,” he said adding; “We beat ASO Chlef, which is one of the strongest teams in Africa.
